Violence erupted in the Chambakada neighborhood of Kaithamukku around 1:30 p.m. on Sunday when a coordinated attack claimed the life of 42-year-old Vishakh. Authorities report that the assailants arrived at the victim's residence in a rented vehicle, armed with lethal weapons. The attackers targeted Vishakh's abdomen and limbs, leaving him with catastrophic injuries before they fled the location.
Thiruvananthapuram City police launched an immediate manhunt, eventually locating the getaway car abandoned at Pulayanarkotta. Inside the vehicle, investigators discovered three knives believed to be the murder weapons, alongside several liquor bottles. The rapid police response led to the arrest of 38-year-old Pradeep, identified as the primary suspect, along with three accomplices who allegedly assisted in the strike.

The roots of the killing lie in a persistent property boundary disagreement between Vishakh and Pradeep, who are distant relatives. This local friction had hardened over years into a series of criminal confrontations. Key points of the escalating feud include:
