Preliminary investigations indicate the violence was sparked by a minor disagreement between two local business operators. Those identified in the preliminary inquiry include:
- Siddaraju, a mobile shop owner.
- Deepak, a rival mobile shop owner.
- Associates and supporters of both retail owners.
