Editorial Policy
Project Chintan is an independent, digital-first newsroom. Our mission is to deliver considered, sourced journalism on India and the world.
Sourcing & attribution
Every story is built from the reporting of independent publishers covering the same event. Each article carries a "Sources reviewed" section after the story, naming those publishers and linking to their original source pages where a link is available. Where an official or first-party source underpins the story, it is labelled as the primary source.
Editing & review
Project Chintan runs an automated newsroom. Before publication, every story must pass automated checks for independent multi-source corroboration, originality, factual consistency with the source material, duplication, policy compliance and editorial quality. Stories that fail any check are not published. Editors set those standards, monitor published output and handle corrections.
Independence
Project Chintan accepts no payment for editorial coverage. Advertising and sponsored content, where present, are clearly labelled.
Separation of news and opinion
Opinion and analysis are labelled distinctly from news reporting.
