Corrections Policy
We correct errors of fact promptly and transparently.
How we handle corrections
- Factual errors are corrected in the article, and a dated correction note is appended at the bottom.
- Substantive changes to a story's meaning are flagged with an update note including the timestamp of the change.
- Headlines that materially misrepresent a story are rewritten; the original headline is preserved in the correction note.
Requesting a correction
If you believe a Project Chintan story contains a factual error, please contact us with the URL and a description of the issue. We aim to respond within 48 hours.
Retractions
In rare cases where an entire report is found to be unfounded, we retract it and publish an explanation in its place.
