Samrat Choudhary Marks 100 Days with ₹11,464 Crore Development Rollout

Infrastructure and Education Take Center Stage
Marking 100 days in power, Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary inaugurated or initiated 2,476 projects worth a total of ₹11,464 crore on July 25, 2026. The financial outlay targets a wide range of sectors including irrigation, drinking water, roads, bridges, and the industrial sector. Speaking at the BIT Mesra campus in Patna, Choudhary emphasized that his administration aims to accelerate Bihar’s growth to position it as a primary driver of national economic progress.
The Chief Minister highlighted a rapid expansion in the education sector during his brief tenure. While historically the state only had 278-degree colleges, his government recently added 211 new colleges in a single day. Furthermore, 551 schools have been upgraded to model school status as part of a broader push to modernize the state's educational facilities.
Ambitious Investment and Aviation Targets
Choudhary set a firm deadline of November 20 to attract ₹5 lakh crore in investments to Bihar. The government strategy focuses on diversifying the industrial base by establishing at least one major industry in every district. Priority sectors for this industrial push include textiles, electronics, and food processing, which are expected to generate significant employment for the state's youth population.

A Vision for Good Governance
Reflecting on his term since taking the oath on April 15, Choudhary described the first 100 days as a period of historic decision-making. To underscore these milestones, he released a commemorative magazine and a coffee-table book documenting the administration's progress. He called upon government officials to commit to 15- to 18-hour workdays to meet the needs of Bihar's 14 crore residents. Asserting his role as a "servant of the people," the Chief Minister maintained that his focus remains on self-reliance and achieving the state's long-term prosperity through transparency and hard work.
