The brother managed to reach home and inform their family, who subsequently took the girl to a hospital. The survivor underwent a medical examination. The children's mother filed a report with the police, leading to a case registered against Valmiki under charges of rape and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Police are conducting raids to apprehend the accused.
