Father of Lawyer in Domestic Violence Case Stabbed at Home

What Happened

Njarackal police have apprehended two individuals in connection with the alleged stabbing of an 80-year-old man at his residence. The victim, Mohandas, is the father of lawyer T.M. Dolgo. The incident occurred on Thursday, August 13, around 5:30 p.m. at Mohandas’s home in Murikkumpadam, near Puthuvype. Mohandas sustained injuries to his chest and neck.

According to the police's initial report, the accused, identified as Duster and Dynaster from Puthuvype, allegedly entered Mohandas's home searching for T.M. Dolgo. When they did not find the lawyer, they reportedly pulled Mohandas outside and repeatedly stabbed him. Authorities believe the attack was motivated by Duster's estranged wife being represented by Dolgo in a matrimonial dispute case.

Mohandas has been hospitalized in a private facility. The arrested men face charges including attempt to murder and criminal trespass.
