Bindhushree J. Pawar, a student from Hangal in Haveri district, has formally challenged the National Testing Agency (NTA) regarding her NEET UG-2026 results. While her performance on practice exams and the official June 21 answer key suggested a score of 663, her final result arrived as -11. The student points to impossible logistical logs as evidence of a systemic error. According to the documents provided, her entry time is recorded as 1.56 p.m. and her exit as 1.57 p.m. "I don’t understand how a student can complete his or her OMR sheet filling in just one minute," Pawar stated, noting that her own signature was recorded at 1.52 p.m. while invigilators signed off moments later.
Physical Evidence of Document Tampering
The aspirant identifies several physical irregularities that suggest her OMR sheet was replaced or altered:
- Question Count: Pawar claims to have answered 165 questions, yet the OMR sheet returned by the NTA shows only 41 entries.
- Marking Style: The student asserts the technique used to blacken the circles does not match her personal handwriting style.
- Biometric Anomalies: A secondary, overlapping thumb impression is visible on the sheet, suggesting the fingerprint record was tampered with.
- Re-NEET Discrepancy: In a subsequent re-examination, her predicted score of 668 shifted again to -11 in the official results.
Administrative Silence and Next Steps
Jagadish Pawar, the student’s father, highlighted that his daughter completed two years of intensive coaching and maintained high performance levels throughout her preparation. Despite sending a formal request for her original OMR sheet on July 22, the family reports a total lack of communication from the NTA. Outreach efforts by her teachers to the agency's helpline have also failed to yield a response. The Haveri district administration has stepped in, officially forwarding the grievance to the NTA for immediate review.
