Fernando Tatis Jr. Joins Roc Nation for Representation

Fernando Tatis Jr., an outfielder for the San Diego Padres, has changed representation, moving to Roc Nation Sports. This decision was reported on August 10, 2026, with Roc Nation Sports International president and CEO Michael Yormark and Juan Perez, president of Roc Nation Sports, overseeing the agency co-founded by Jay-Z.

Tatis Jr. was previously represented by Dan Lozano of MVP Sports Group. The agency also represents other Major League Baseball players, including Jazz Chisholm Jr., CJ Abrams, Jesus Luzardo, Patrick Bailey, and Masyn Winn.

The move away from his long-time representation is seen as a strategic business decision aimed at maximizing Tatis Jr.'s image and brand through marketing and endorsements. He is currently under a 14-year contract with the San Diego Padres, signed in 2021, which extends through the 2034 season. This contract is valued at $340 million, with an average annual value of approximately $24.29 million.

While Tatis Jr.'s performance on the field has shown improvement in the second half of the current season, including an increase in home runs and RBIs compared to the first half, the agency change is not directly linked to his future with the Padres.
