Farmers’ march halted at Haryana-Punjab border

A 13-day protest march by farmers toward Delhi was stopped at the Haryana-Punjab border on August 16, 2026. Police placed prohibitory orders, and leaders said they would hold a sit-in and seek judicial intervention.
