A Theban tomb (TT 209) holds 16 mummies and a dog arranged in a layered sequence, suggesting deliberate burial order from the Twenty-fifth Dynasty into the Ptolemaic period. The findings come from a recent study in Frontiers in Environmental Archaeology.
