The Israeli military reported its first fatalities in southern Lebanon since late June as tensions escalate despite diplomatic efforts in Italy. Major Harel Birenstock and Sergeant Major Tamir Vaknin were killed during operations targeting alleged Hezbollah ceasefire violations.
