EOS-05: ISRO opts geosynchronous orbit over circular GEO

ISRO’s EOS-05, launched by GSLV F17, is being raised from a sub-GTO toward a geosynchronous orbit, but will ultimately operate in a broader GSO rather than a classic circular GEO. The mission included staged orbit-raising maneuvers, with final expectations pointing to a 20,000 km x 35,786 km GSO, an
