Five Indian Villages Catch Rain and Save Water for Dry Months

Villages in Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Kerala have built and connected rainwater structures to store monsoon water for irrigation during dry periods. The approach combines ponds, check dams and feeder canals to slow runoff and increase year-round storage.
