Swell waves reach Kerala coast; inundation likely by Aug 20

High-period swell from the southern Indian Ocean has reached Kerala and southern Tamil Nadu coasts, with warnings of possible inundation in low-lying areas by the evening of August 20, 2026. INCOIS forecasts and cautions are in effect for coastal communities and vessels.
