YSRCP Targets July 28 for Massive Youth Rallies Citing DSC Examination Corruption

YSRCP State coordinator Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy issued a call to action during a Sunday teleconference, instructing the party's student and youth wings to organize large-scale demonstrations on July 28. The planned statewide rallies center on alleged malpractice within the District Selection Committee (DSC) examinations. Ramakrishna Reddy urged party leaders to engage directly with universities, student hostels, and colleges to ensure high turnout. The strategy relies heavily on digital outreach, utilizing WhatsApp and broader social media platforms to reach DSC aspirants and unemployed citizens.
Allegations of Institutional Fraud and Resource Misuse
The opposition's critique focuses on specific procedural breaches during the recruitment cycle. Ramakrishna Reddy highlighted the following concerns:
- Evidence suggesting that nearly 400 DSC positions were distributed under the sports quota based on illegitimate certification.
- A conflict of interest where a single individual reportedly functioned as both examiner and convener.
- The delegation of question paper management to an outsourced employee, which the party claims compromised exam integrity.
Ramakrishna Reddy drew parallels to the national stage, noting that Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan resigned amidst the NEET paper leak controversy. He argued that HRD Minister Nara Lokesh should face similar accountability for current administrative failures.
Financial Grievances and Unmet Policy Pledges
Beyond examination irregularities, the YSRCP leadership criticized the government's fiscal handling of education and social welfare. According to Ramakrishna Reddy, the administration has neglected to clear over ₹10,000 crore in outstanding fee reimbursement payments. Furthermore, the party platformed the grievance of jobless youth regarding the government’s unfulfilled commitment to provide a ₹3,000 monthly unemployment allowance. MLC Lella Appi Reddy joined the briefing, reinforcing the party's stance on these systemic economic and administrative issues.
