TTD confirms twin Brahmotsavams this year under Adhika Masam

What Happened

Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Chairman B.R. Naidu announced that the temple management will conduct twin Brahmotsavams this year, a feature arising from the astrological period known as Adhika Masam which occurs once in three years. The regular Brahmotsavams are scheduled from September 15 to 23, while the Navaratri Brahmotsavams will run from October 12 to 20. Naidu spoke during Independence Day celebrations after hoisting the National Flag and inspecting a guard of honour from TTD security, stating that arrangements are in place to facilitate smooth darshan for devotees from around the world.

He emphasized TTD’s broader missions, including serving devotees and preserving Sanatana Dharma, along with commitments to education, healthcare, and religious services. He also highlighted plans for a ₹120 crore modern Annapprasadam kitchen funded with donor support, 32 additional electric buses to Tirumala, and a ₹145 crore museum for Sri Venkateswara featuring 3D and 7D presentations. Additional pilgrim amenities were noted for Vontimitta, described as the ‘Ayodhya of Andhra’. Naidu announced accelerated construction plans for Srivari temples in Coimbatore, Guwahati, Khammam, Belagavi, Mumbai, and Bihar, and detailed a ₹140 crore project for Amaravati that includes a Maha Gopuram, a Pushkarini, and a Vahana Mandapam.
