In preparation for the August 1 inauguration of the Alluri Sitharama Raju International Airport, Telugu Desam Party representatives from Kakinada have launched a formal community outreach campaign. Following a directive from TDP National President and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, a delegation of public officials traveled to the Vizianagaram district to personally invite the local population to the upcoming event.

The delegation, which included Kakinada Market Committee Chairman Bachhu Sekhar and TDP leaders Dangeti Satish and Somesetti Kumar, engaged with residents across several villages. The representatives distributed boxes of the famous Kakinada Kaja sweet to families in Bhogapuram, Pusapatirega, and Savaravilli. This gesture serves as a formal recognition of the residents who provided the land necessary for the aviation project.
Bachhu Sekhar noted that Kakinada MLA Vanama Venkateswara Rao coordinated the distribution of numerous sweet boxes to ensure the community felt included in the milestone. According to Sekhar, the local population expressed significant enthusiasm regarding the scheduled appearance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the ceremony.
