Key Dates for Initial Admission Phase

The Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) released the definitive timeline for the 2026-2027 academic year admissions on Monday. Candidates seeking entry into MBA and MCA programs must initiate the process through the TGICET 2026 portal. The initial window for online application submission and processing fee payment opens on July 31 and remains accessible until August 5.

Following fee payment, the administrative cycle moves into document validation and seat selection:

  • August 1 to 5: Slot-based physical certificate verification for all registered candidates.
  • August 3 to 8: Digital exercise of web options for college selection.
  • August 8: Formal freezing of selected options to finalize the provisional allotment.

Closing Phase and Institutional Spot Admissions

For students who do not secure placements in the preliminary round, the TGCHE has scheduled a final evaluation phase beginning August 17. Officials confirmed that provisional seat allotments for this concluding round will be distributed no later than August 22.

Educational institutions will address remaining vacancies through a standardized spot admission process. Guidelines governing these late-stage entries for both university and private unaided colleges are scheduled for release on August 24 via the official TGICET website.
