Extensive rainfall swept across Telangana during the 24-hour window ending at 8:30 a.m. on July 30, 2026. Data released by the Telangana Development Planning Society (TGDPS) reveals that Bejjur in Kumaram Bheem Asifabad district saw the most significant downpour, reaching 183.5 mm. Other high-volume areas included Jaipur in Mancherial with 171.5 mm and Wazeed in Mulugu at 170 mm. Heavy accumulation was also reported in Palachettu (157 mm), Sarvaipet (153.5 mm), and Eturunagaram (152 mm).
Lower but still substantial figures were recorded in Yelkapalle at 149.8 mm and Naspur at 140.5 mm. Peddapalli's Kunaram region logged 132 mm, while Nirmal, Jagtial, and Adilabad saw totals ranging between 122.3 mm and 131 mm. Even the capital city, Hyderabad, experienced overnight activity, with Bahadurpura recording 38.8 mm and Golconda following closely at 38 mm.

The intensity of the weather forced district administrations into immediate action. In Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, Collector K. Haritha conducted on-site inspections of floodwaters at Tumpelli Vagu and Gundi Vagu, instructing police and revenue departments to secure vulnerable zones. Meanwhile, Jagtial District Collector B. Satya Prasad directed officials to maintain a constant watch over Godavari catchment areas and ensure rehabilitation centers are fully equipped for potential evacuations.
