Telangana MeeSeva Centers Evolve into Digital Marketing Hubs via Meta Partnership
State officials have launched a program to turn MeeSeva operators into digital ad consultants for local firms. The initiative provides small businesses with professional marketing tools while boosting entrepreneurs' incomes.

Expanding the Digital Economy Through Local Centers
Telangana has launched a strategic collaboration with Meta to integrate digital advertising services into the state's MeeSeva network. This initiative effectively transforms traditional government service kiosks into marketing centers for small and medium-sized enterprises. By leveraging Meta’s advertising tools, the Electronic Service Delivery (ESD)-MeeSeva intends to provide professional-grade promotional capabilities to rural and neighborhood businesses that previously lacked such resources.
Training for Village Level Entrepreneurs
The program commenced with a specialized training session for over 150 Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs) based in Hyderabad's Core Urban Region (CURE). These operators gained expertise in several technical areas necessary for digital commerce:
- Developing professional advertisement creatives and promotional content
- Executing precise audience targeting strategies
- Managing end-to-end digital marketing campaigns
- Advising on customer outreach and visibility metrics
ESD (MeeSeva) Commissioner T. Ravi Kiran stated during a Friday event that the partnership represents a dedicated effort to use technology for entrepreneurial empowerment. The project creates a dual benefit: businesses gain a broader digital footprint, while VLEs secure a new revenue stream by offering these value-added marketing services.
Broad Accessibility for Local Commerce
The new service suite is designed for a vast range of economic actors across Telangana. Local residents can now access Meta-integrated advertising support at their nearest MeeSeva center. The target demographic for these services includes:
- Individual micro-entrepreneurs such as electricians, plumbers, and mechanics
- Local retail outlets including Kirana stores, pharmacies, and sweet shops
- Service providers like salons, schools, hospitals, and restaurants
- Start-ups and established Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs)
By moving beyond standard citizen services, MeeSeva centers are assuming a larger role in supporting the state's digital economy. The program aims to bridge the gap between street-level commerce and global digital platforms, fostering livelihoods through modern technical literacy.
