Observance at the Chief Minister's Residence

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy offered floral tributes to Prof. K. Jayashankar during a ceremony at his Jubilee Hills home this Thursday. While marking the birth anniversary of the scholar, the Chief Minister identified him as the primary intellectual force behind the Telangana movement. Reddy described Jayashankar as a visionary who sacrificed his life for the creation of a separate state and asserted that his administration remains dedicated to achieving the professor's goals for the populace.

Tributes at Telangana Bhavan

The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) held a parallel commemoration at its state headquarters. Party working president K.T. Rama Rao, joined by various leaders and activists, garlanded the professor's statue. During the event, Rao reflected on his personal interactions with the late intellectual, noting that K. Chandrasekhar Rao viewed Jayashankar as a guiding figure. Rao stated that while KCR is regarded as the father of Telangana, Jayashankar was considered KCR's godfather.

Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar joined the tributes, acknowledging Jayashankar's lifelong devotion to the welfare of Telangana's citizens. Additionally, Telangana Rakshana Sena president K. Kavitha paid her respects to the late professor prior to a scheduled public gathering at Saroornagar.
