THE WHAT? Revolution Beauty has reported improved trading in the first quarter of fiscal 2027, with its turnaround strategy delivering results ahead of internal expectations despite a challenging performance in the previous financial year.

THE DETAILS The UK cosmetics company said trading strengthened during the quarter following initiatives focused on cost reductions, operational simplification and pricing negotiations with retail partners. The update follows a difficult fiscal 2026, when adjusted EBITDA moved to a loss of £8.2 million as sales declined 28%. Revolution Beauty continues to manage net debt of £24.7 million, while founders Tom Allsworth and Adam Minto, who returned to the business in 2025, continue to lead the company’s recovery after plans to sell the business were abandoned.

THE WHY? The update highlights the continued challenges facing value-focused beauty brands as they balance cost control, retailer relationships and debt management, while demonstrating how operational restructuring is becoming a key strategy for restoring profitability in a competitive cosmetics market.
