Pre-Dawn Blaze Near Bharathiya City Destroys Dozens of Vehicles
A massive fire at a Bengaluru repair facility consumed luxury cars and autorickshaws early Monday morning. Emergency services took two hours to contain the flames as the blaze spread to a nearby manufacturing unit.
Emergency Response and Extinguishment
A major fire broke out at approximately 4 a.m. on Monday at a car garage situated on Thanisandra Main Road, near Bharathiya City in north Bengaluru. The Fire and Emergency Services Department deployed multiple tenders to the site to combat the rapidly spreading flames. Firefighters worked for two hours to bring the situation under control. While the inferno caused extensive property damage, officials confirmed that no injuries or fatalities occurred during the incident.
Scale of Property Destruction
The fire originated at a garage where vehicles had been parked for minor maintenance work. The following assets were confirmed lost in the blaze:
- More than 20 cars, including a significant number of high-end luxury models.
- Eight autorickshaws stationed in an adjacent shed, which were reduced to charred frames.
- Unspecified customer inventory at a neighboring UPVC window manufacturing unit.
The speed of the fire allowed it to jump from the primary garage to the neighboring structures, causing significant collateral damage to the industrial equipment and materials in the vicinity.
Investigation and Current Status
Senior officials from the Police and Fire Departments conducted a site inspection following the extinguishment. Investigators are currently working to pinpoint the exact origin and cause of the ignition, which remains unidentified at this stage. Authorities have officially launched a probe to determine if technical failures or other external factors triggered the pre-dawn disaster.
