Simultaneously, Oomerabad police disrupted a separate mining ring operating along a riverbed near Ambur town in Tirupattur district. During a routine patrol, officers caught a group of five local residents manually loading sand into five bullock carts. The following individuals were taken into custody and are currently detained at the Tirupattur sub-jail:
