Union Minister of State for Steel and Heavy Industries Bhupathiraju Srinivas Varma announced the initiative on Sunday, following direct consultations with industry stakeholders in Bhimavaram. State aqua farmers used the meeting to detail the financial strain caused by the current pricing structure.
High-Level Advocacy for Policy Relief
The movement for federal relief gained momentum following targeted diplomatic efforts from the Andhra Pradesh state government. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu led a delegation of Members of Parliament to present the issue to key cabinet members in New Delhi. This delegation formally requested intervention during meetings with:
