Modi Recalls Mother's Sacrifice at Kovind's Autobiography Launch

Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke about the sacrifices mothers make for their children during the launch of former President Ram Nath Kovind's autobiography, titled 'Triumph of the Indian Republic: My Life, My Struggles.' Modi drew a parallel to an incident from Kovind's book, describing a fire at the former president's childhood home where his mother died attempting to save household items.

The Prime Minister shared his personal connection to the theme of maternal loss, stating, "Even today, I deeply feel the void left by her absence." He noted his own mother lived to be over a hundred and continued to offer blessings.

Modi also commented on Kovind's life, highlighting how determination can enable individuals to overcome adversity and reach high public office. He encouraged young people to read autobiographies to gain historical perspective through personal experiences, cautioning against over-reliance on social media content.

Former President Kovind shared recollections of his challenging childhood in Uttar Pradesh and the values he learned from his community. He also spoke about government housing schemes and his association with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), citing its focus on the nation over lineage.
