Madhira Massive Centralized Kitchen to Deliver 44,107 Student Meals Daily
A new automated facility in Madhira will deploy high-speed culinary technology to supply government school breakfast programs. The operation serves over 800 educational institutions across 16 mandals using custom-built transport vehicles.
Industrial-Scale Nutrition for Khammam Schools
A transformative infrastructure project for the School Breakfast Scheme has commenced operations at the Agricultural Market Yard in Madhira. Occupying an 8,000-square-foot shed, this centralized community kitchen is designed to serve a vast network of 44,107 students. The facility provides meals to 879 government and residential schools spanning 16 mandals in the Khammam district.
High-Speed Automation and Quality Control
The Hare Krishna Movement Charitable Foundation (HKMCF) manages the site, which utilizes specialized technology to meet large-scale demand under strict hygienic standards. The facility’s production capacity includes:
- Idli Production: 1,520 units every 20 minutes.
- Dosa Output: 2,000 units per hour.
- Puri Preparation: 3,600 units per hour.
On July 27, 2026, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka conducted a formal inspection of the site. During the visit, HKMCF officials demonstrated the technology-driven food prep systems intended to ensure nutritional consistency and logistical efficiency.
Logistics and Safety Infrastructure
To maintain freshness from the stovetop to the classroom, the project includes a fleet of custom-built delivery vehicles. Deputy CM Vikramarka officially flagged off these transport units during the inauguration. Further oversight is provided by an on-site quality testing laboratory, also inaugurated Monday, which monitors food safety before distribution across the regional school network.
