A teenage girl in Keelamoongiladi, situated near Chidambaram, survived a violent knife attack on Sunday after a long-term stalker breached her residence. Law enforcement officials identified the assailant as 28-year-old Ayappan, an electrician residing in C. Mutlur. The incident occurred while the 16-year-old Class XI student remained home alone.
Details of the Confrontation
Initial police reports indicate that Ayappan entered the victim's home and confronted her with a demand for marriage. When the student refused his advances, the suspect produced a knife and inflicted multiple injuries, specifically targeting her neck. The attacker fled the premises immediately following the assault.

Neighbors alerted by the victim's cries for help discovered her injured and facilitated her transport to the Government Medical College and Hospital.
