In-charge Collector Orders Completion of Electoral Roll Notices by August 31

In-charge Collector G. Vidyadhari has mandated the completion of Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral roll notices by the end of August. She emphasized the importance of meeting this August 31 deadline for the delivery of these crucial documents.

The district had planned to issue a total of 2,29,931 notices as part of the SIR process. As of the reported Thursday, 2,22,243 of these notices had been generated. However, only 11,012 had been successfully delivered to recipients. Vidyadhari urged officials to prioritize direct delivery methods whenever feasible to ensure the notices reach their intended recipients promptly.

These directives followed a video conference where Chief Electoral Officer Vivek Yadav assessed election-related preparations. The review, conducted from the CEO's office in Amaravati, included discussions on polling stations and the processing of election forms such as 6, 7, and 8. Following the conference, Vidyadhari instructed officials to establish daily objectives for processing Forms 6 and 8, which pertain to claims and objections. The aim is to prevent backlogs and manage pending forms on a constituency-by-constituency basis.
