Country Star Colt Ford Suffers Broken Shoulder in German Tour Bus Crash

Country music artist Colt Ford was involved in a tour bus accident on August 12 while traveling to a performance in Germany. The 56-year-old singer reported on Instagram that the bus veered into a grassy ditch, necessitating his extrication through the vehicle's broken windshield by first responders. He sustained a broken shoulder in the crash, and his crew reported minor injuries.

The accident occurred en route to a scheduled show in Germany. A photograph shared by Ford depicted the bus with a smashed front bumper and shattered windscreen. Fellow artists Tracy Byrd, Drew Baldridge, and Jake Owen offered messages of support and relief that the injuries were not more severe.

This incident follows a previous health crisis for Ford, who experienced a near-fatal heart attack over two years ago. At that time, he was clinically dead three times and underwent extensive surgery. He returned to touring approximately a year later, acknowledging significant anxiety related to performing after the life-threatening event.

It remains uncertain whether Ford's current tour dates will be affected by his injuries. His schedule included a performance in Ballenstedt, Germany, on August 15, and a United States show at the Iowa State Fairgrounds on August 19.
