Coimbatore administrative leaders officially opened the registration portal for the 14th Walkaroo Coimbatore Marathon on Monday. District Collector Pavankumar G. Giriyappanavar, Commissioner of Police N. Kannan, and Corporation Commissioner Katta Ravi Teja inaugurated the enrollment process by signing up as early participants. The event, slated for December 20, operates as a collaboration between the Coimbatore Cancer Foundation (CCF) and the local running community.
Expanding Outreach and Financial Impact
Since its 2013 debut, this athletic initiative has generated more than ₹7.5 crore. These funds directly subsidize cancer awareness campaigns, patient assistance, and various community health programs. Organizers anticipate a massive turnout this year, with a projected 27,000 individuals expected to take part in the city's largest wellness demonstration.

The upcoming marathon provides four distinct competitive and recreational options to accommodate different fitness levels:

- 10 km Run
- 5 km Timed Run
- 5 km Run/Walk
