CJP to launch website to identify police personnel who used brute force on protestors during Parliament March

Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) spokesperson Saurav Das announced from a press conference on Friday (July 24, 2026), that the outfit will be launching a website for protestors to identify the police personnel who used brute force on them on the day of Parliament March.

Mr. Das said, “We will identify each one of them who used brute force and we will push for an FIR to be filed on each one of them. If Delhi Police refuses to file FIR, we will go to Court. We have the support of lawyers from all over country.”

Condemning the allegations of ‘foreign funding’ behind the protest Mr. Das said, “If narrative is being pushed that we are foreign-funded, why is the government engaging with Sonam Wangchuk? Why is the government engaging with us?”

Criticising the public interest litigation (PIL) seeking an investigation into the CJP-led protest at Jantar Mantar, Mr. Das said, “We also know PILs are being filed against the movement in courts. NIA probe as been requested through PIL, we request the judges of the country to not let their order politicise or weaponised by political considerarions. We request the judges to stand on the right side of the history, stand with the future of the country who are out on road for so those days.”

Another CJP spokesperson Ratna Singh, slammimg Delhi Police’s use of force on protestors accused the police of detaining youth who were trying to reach the protest site. “On Thursday (July 23), a lot of students were detained... Lawyers are not being allowed to meet the students who are detained. We request the police to not misbehave with lawyers who are trying to do their duty.”

CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke stated that the police must take back all the cases, it has registered on protestors who joined the Parliament March on July 20.

Mr. Dipke said that the movement demanding the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan is now bigger than ever.

Answering a question, he said “the protest will go on. Now the entire country has joined us. We will not step back until we get the resignation.”

Commending Sonam Wanchuk’s support for the movement, Mr. Dipke said “We are relived that Sonam sir broke his hunger strike after 26 days. We thank him for his stance. The protest is now happening in different states, the movement is now bigger than ever. Dharmendra Pradhan must resign. Until he resigns, the country’s youth will not step back.”

Mr. Wangchuk broke his fast, announced Leh Apex Body co-convenor Cherring Dorjay Lakruk late on Thursday (July 23, 2026). Mr. Wangchuk broke the fast in the presence of two Union Ministers on certain conditions, he said. The government gave a written assurance that cases against students will be taken back if they are not violent, he added. Also, the government gave a written assurance that they will consider compensation for NEET aspirants who took their lives, he said.

Mr. Das, sharing the details of CJP’s scheduled meeting with the govt on NEET paper leak issue said, “Ashutosh [CJP spokesperson] and I have been called at 12.30 p.m. to meet J.P. Nadda and Jitendra Singh.” Meeting will take place at neutral place instead of their house and office. Yesterday, we got a confirmation that meeting will take place at Constitution Club, said Mr. Das, while addressing press conference.

He said that CJP had kept two demands including the non negotiables ones, following the first round of talks.

CJP spokesperson Vaishnavi Gaur said earlier, “We will be putting our demands, which we have been consistent with from the first day. The demands are: Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation, compensation for the families and all the FIRs on innocent protesters should be lifted.”
