CJP Leader Demands Probe Into Pellet Gun Use Against Students, Warns of New Agitation

Escalation of Student-State Tensions

Abhijeet Dipke, founder of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), issued a stern warning to the central government on July 29, 2026, regarding the ongoing treatment of student activists. After a month-long demonstration at Delhi's Jantar Mantar that resulted in the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Dipke reported that police forces in multiple states have begun visiting activists' homes to threaten them with arrest. He insisted that the government must cease these intimidation tactics immediately.

Addressing reporters at the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar airport, Dipke highlighted the violence that occurred during the March to Parliament on July 20. He demanded accountability for the decision to use pellet guns against demonstrators, regardless of the official's rank. "Action should be taken against the person who gave orders to fire pellet guns, whether it be Amit Shah or anyone else," he stated, emphasizing that students are citizens rather than terrorists.

Accountability and the NEET Controversy

The CJP leader dismissed the notion that student frustration subsided with Dharmendra Pradhan's departure. He characterized the NEET paper leak as a systemic failure, noting that the victory belonged to the students who endured 36 days of harsh weather to demand accountability. Dipke also criticized the BJP for felicitating Pradhan in Parliament, contrasting the government's celebration with the tragedies of student suicides linked to exam failures.

He suggested that if the administration continues to target youth, the CJP will initiate a larger agitation focused on changing the government entirely. In a direct critique of the executive, he suggested Prime Minister Narendra Modi should leave office to pursue a career as a social media influencer. Dipke concluded that while laws exist, they remain ineffective without integrity from those tasked with their enforcement.
