CBSE Leadership Summit in Malappuram Targets Quality Benchmarks and NEP Compliance
Educational leaders gathered in Valanchery to align Malappuram district schools with the National Education Policy. The workshop hosted over 200 administrators focusing on teacher training and examination reform.
Strategic Workshop for Regional School Leaders
MES Central School in Valanchery served as the venue for an intensive administrative gathering on July 26, 2026. The session brought together 225 school managers and principals from across the Malappuram district to address evolving academic standards and management protocols. Organized through a partnership between Malappuram Sahodaya, Malappuram Central Sahodaya, and the CBSE Centre of Excellence (CoE), Thiruvananthapuram, the event focused on bridging the gap between national mandates and classroom execution.
Mandatory Training and Academic Rigor
S. Nirmala, the Director of the CBSE Centre of Excellence in Thiruvananthapuram, inaugurated the summit. During her address, she issued a directive for schools to prioritize the completion of compulsory teacher training modules. Nirmala stressed that meeting these CBSE-prescribed requirements is necessary for maintaining regional educational standards. The technical framework of the day centered on several core pillars:
- Implementation strategies for the National Education Policy (NEP).
- Methods for institutional quality enhancement.
- Updates to examination formats and assessment protocols.
- Adoption of student-centered pedagogy and teacher development cycles.
Collaborative Governance and Resource Leadership
P. Haridas, CBSE City Coordinator for Malappuram, moderated the proceedings, while MES Central School Chairman Mansoor Ali Gurukkal provided the keynote perspective. Specialized technical modules throughout the day were spearheaded by CBSE resource expert Sweety S. Pulikkottil and District Training Coordinator Jobin Sebastian. The session also drew participation from Kerala's broader academic leadership, including Joji Paul, President of the Confederation of Kerala Sahodaya Complexes, alongside representative leaders from the two Malappuram-based Sahodaya organizations, M. Abdul Nazar and Noufal Puthanpeediyekkal.
