Strategic Restructuring for Local Governance Contests
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) initiated a comprehensive organizational overhaul on Wednesday to prepare for the looming local body elections across Andhra Pradesh. State president P.V.N. Madhav announced the formation of a specialized committee tasked with governing election logistics, field-level operations, and organizational alignment. This governing body will oversee the entire spectrum of the campaign, from initial planning to the final selection of candidates.
To ensure operational efficiency, the party partitioned the state into four geographical clusters: North Andhra, Godavari, Coastal Andhra, and Rayalaseema. Senior political figures have been delegated specific oversight for these regions to ensure continuous communication between the central state leadership and rank-and-file party workers.
Composition of the High-Power Committee
The newly formed panel includes a diverse array of veteran legislators and party officials. Key members include:

Focus on Grassroots Mobilization
Madhav emphasized that the party's primary objective is reinforcing its network at the Shakti Kendra, mandal, and district levels. The committee holds instructions to prioritize booth-level organization, which the BJP views as the bedrock of its election management plan. By synchronizing efforts across these administrative tiers, the leadership aims to secure a dominant presence in the local government hierarchy.
