V. Sunil Kumar Accuses Congress and ‘Cockroach’ Faction of Engineering National Anarchy
Former Minister V. Sunil Kumar lead a BJP protest in Udupi, alleging that opposition forces are exploiting the NEET paper leak to incite unrest. He accused the Congress party of partnering with anti-national elements to weaken India's global standing.
Udupi Protest Targets Alleged Anti-National Coalitions
During a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) demonstration at the Jatka Stand in Udupi on Tuesday, Karkala MLA V. Sunil Kumar leveled sharp accusations against the Congress party and a group he identified as ‘Cockroaches.’ Kumar claimed these entities are orchestrating a movement designed to foster anarchy and incite the younger generation against the state. The protest, supported by hundreds of BJP cadres, served as a platform to condemn what the party describes as a “goonda culture” and the adoption of anti-national policies by the opposition.
The NEET Controversy and Allegations of Foreign Collaboration
The former minister specifically addressed the recent NEET examination paper leak, asserting that the resulting protests were being used as a pretext to insult Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Hinduism. Kumar emphasized that the government has never justified the leak, noting that authorities initiated a re-examination immediately after the discrepancy surfaced. He argued that despite these administrative actions, certain forces are attempting to build a “vicious atmosphere” to damage India’s reputation.
Kumar further alleged that these internal disruptions are linked to external influences. He highlighted a pattern of behavior including:
- Inciting communal tension during the implementation of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).
- Questioning the legitimacy and success of Indian Defence forces during surgical strikes and ‘Operation Sindoor.’
- Lack of faith in the national electoral system, the Parliament, and the rule of law.
Defending the National Image
The MLA maintained that while India’s international standing has strengthened under the current administration, domestic forces are actively working to undermine this progress. He stated that Indian society rejects movements characterized by stone-pelting on soldiers or attacks on police officers. Other prominent BJP figures attending the rally included MLAs Gururaj Gantihole, A. Kiran Kumar Kodgi, Yashpal Suvarna, and Gurme Suresh Shetty, alongside District BJP President Kutyar Naveen Shetty.
