Technical Upgrades and Dimensions

Twelve South has revised its leather-wrapped Valet charging tray, prioritizing space efficiency and charging velocity. Debuting as a follow-up to the unit showcased at CES earlier this year, the latest version slashes the depth of the accessory from 7.5 inches down to 4.5 inches. This adjustment narrows the device's utility from a wide-ranging catchall for multiple personal items to a specialized tray for essential single objects, such as a pair of spectacles.

Enhanced Power Performance

Despite the reduction in physical scale, the internal hardware sees a performance increase. Twelve South upgraded the wireless charging capability compared to its predecessor, shifting the power ceiling from 15W to 25W. This allows for faster energy delivery to compatible devices even as the tray occupies less desk or nightstand real estate. The shift in dimensions reflects a strategic move by Twelve South to cater to users operating in environments where space is restricted.

  • New Depth: 4.5 inches (down from 7.5 inches)
  • Maximum Output: 25 Watts (up from 15 Watts)
  • Material: Premium leather-wrapped exterior
