Seethalakshmi Ramaswami College (SRC) has formalised two new agreements to bolster career outcomes and academic research. The Department of Computer Applications, supported by the Institution’s Innovation Council and Abacus Club, entered a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with UK Info Tech. This partnership facilitates student access to internships, industrial training, and placement support. Furthermore, SRC established a collaborative framework with the Swadeshi Shodh Sansthan Tamil Nadu Chapter to advance joint research activities and academic seminars.
Scientific Innovation and Technical Exposure
The applications of infinitesimal science took center stage at Cauvery College for Women during the 'Nano Jatha' workshop. In collaboration with the Bengaluru-based Centre for Nano and Soft Matter Sciences (CeNS), experts S. Angappane and S. Kiruthika demonstrated the functions of gold nanoparticles, graphene-based circuits, and sodium-ion batteries. Students also explored practical uses for humidity sensors and electrochromic glass.
Practical field experience remained a priority as 54 Biochemistry students from J.J. College of Arts and Science visited the Centre for Sustainable Aquaculture. Resident scientists briefed the group on commercial production cycles and the technological requirements of the blue economy, emphasizing the necessity of water quality analysis and scientific feed formulation.

- Sustainable Craft: The Department of Fashion Technology at Shrimati Indira Gandhi College trained students in the full production cycle of cloth tote bags, from fabric selection to decorative finishing, to discourage plastic use.
- Financial Literacy: National College, Tiruchi, partnered with the National Institute of Securities Markets for a session led by D. N. Sundar. The workshop covered stock market mechanics, risk mitigation, and portfolio diversification.
- Competition Law: Sukesh Mishra of the Competition Commission of India (CCI) addressed students at the Central University of Tamil Nadu, discussing the legal frameworks required for fair market operations.
- Economic Career Outlook: At A.V.C. College, alumnus A. Mohamed Riyaz Khan advised economics students to pair their degrees with digital literacy and analytical skills to meet global market demands.

Technological trends took the spotlight at Chettinad College of Engineering and Technology’s 'Polyfest.' T. Senthilkumar of Anna University’s BIT Campus highlighted the necessity of mastering artificial intelligence and coding for modern employment. Meanwhile, at St. Joseph’s Institute of Management, Team ‘Laynez’ claimed the top spot in the 'Jimnesia 2026' management festival, a three-day event testing creative and analytical capabilities among six competing teams.
