Double Fatality in Ollur Multi-Vehicle Collision

A violent chain of collisions claimed two lives early Saturday morning near Ollur. The incident occurred at approximately 4 a.m. when a lorry traveling toward Ollur reportedly lost control and struck an auto-rickshaw. The initial impact flipped the smaller vehicle onto the roadway, where it was subsequently struck by an oncoming tourist bus.

Authorities identified the deceased as 35-year-old auto-rickshaw driver Dani, a resident of Vellanikkode, Kallur, and his passenger, 45-year-old Majorin from Padavarad, Ollur. The force of the dual impacts left the auto-rickshaw completely mangled. Both occupants died at the scene before Fire and Rescue Services and police personnel could extricate them. Officials moved the bodies to a local hospital for post-mortem analysis.

Fatal Tipper Lorry Incident on Wadakkanchery Flyover

Four hours later, a second fatal accident occurred on the Wadakkanchery flyover involving a two-wheeler. At approximately 8 a.m., 39-year-old Fathima Suhara of Pathamkallu was traveling with her husband toward Wadakkanchery when their motorcycle collided with another vehicle heading in the same direction.

The contact caused Suhara to be thrown from the motorcycle onto the pavement. A tipper lorry traveling directly behind the pair was unable to stop in time and ran over her. Police confirmed she died instantly at the site of the accident. Her husband survived the incident.
