Software engineer dies after fall from 10th floor in Puppalguda

A 27-year-old software engineer died after falling from the 10th floor of an apartment complex in Puppalguda under the Narsingi police station limits on Thursday night.

The deceased was identified as Vishnu Vardhan Reddy, who was residing with his parents and brother in the apartment.

According to the police, Reddy returned home from work in the evening and went to his room. He did not come out for dinner and was believed to have gone to sleep. Later in the night, his brother noticed that he was not in bed. Upon calling him, he found his mobile phone lying in the balcony and on looking down, saw him lying on the ground floor of the apartment complex.

The Narsingi police rushed to the spot on receiving information and shifted the body for post-mortem examination before taking up an investigation.

Preliminary inquiries suggest that Reddy had been suffering from depression for some time. However, no suicide note was found at the scene.

Based on a complaint lodged by his brother, the Narsingi police registered a case.
