Its collapse effectively halted all transit on National Highway 163, a primary artery linking Telangana to Chhattisgarh.

Mulugu District Collector B. Hemant Sahadeorao conducted an on-site inspection of the damaged highway corridor, ordering immediate repairs once the current flood surge abates. Following a three-day forecast of continued heavy rain, all district departments have been placed on high alert. In Jagtial, Collector B. Satya Prasad inaugurated a 24-hour emergency operations center to manage relief efforts. Residents have been warned to stay away from rising water bodies, including ponds and rivulets, and to avoid all non-essential travel.
