Ranquelino and Pyrite Set the Pace

Training sessions on Monday morning, July 27, saw significant speed displays from Ranquelino and Pyrite during their 1200m outer sand workouts. Ranquelino, piloted by R. Pradeep, registered a fluent 1-26 for the full distance, covering 1,000m in 1-11 and the final 600m in 42.5 seconds. Meanwhile, D. Patel guided Pyrite through an impressive gallop, stopping the clock at 1-29 for 1200m, with a sharp 1,000m split of 1-11 and a finishing 600m burst in 42 seconds.

Top Performances on Outer Sand and Inner Tracks

Several other runners caught the eye during the morning session across varying distances and track surfaces:

  • Shinning Dawn (Arul): Clocked a 1-14 for 1000m, finishing the final 600m in 41.5 seconds in an attractive display of movement.
  • Royal Jewel (Rajesh K): Produced a solid 1-20.5 over 1200m on the inner sand track, recording 1,000/1-6 and 600/39.
  • Princess Jasmine (rb): Stretched out over 1000m on the grass track to finish in 1-8, with a closing 600m in 37 seconds.
  • Dasadya (Raza): Strode out well over 1000m in 1-12.5, finishing the last 600m in 43 seconds.

Competitive Pairs and Solo Efforts

In mid-distance trials, Southern Force clocked 1-15.5 for 1000m under Antony. Heimirich finished his 1000m run in 1-14.5, appearing in fine trim. Mister Brown showed promise over 1200m with a time of 1-31.5, while the pair of Alpha Legend and War Queen worked in tandem to post 1-31. Over the shorter 600m sprint, Fine Silver clocked 43 seconds, while the duo of Prince Of Wales and Inicio finished freely in 44.5 seconds.
