Law enforcement identified the victim as Muniyan, a resident of Nehru Nagar in Kadapperi, located near Tambaram. For the past eight months, Muniyan had been employed by a private pharmaceutical company operating inside the high-security export complex.
Circumstances and Evidence
The timeline of events began on Saturday night, July 25, when Muniyan reported for his scheduled shift. Concerns arose when he failed to return home after his duty ended. Following an alert from a relative, a search party organized by the Tambaram police combed the specialized zone site.
Officers discovered the victim near the pharmaceutical company's premises. The state of the scene suggested a violent encounter:
- Muniyan was discovered lying in a pool of blood.
- A significant and severe injury was visible on the left side of his face.
