Public Outcry Over DSC Examination Integrity

In a direct challenge to the current administration, YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) members gathered in Visakhapatnam on Tuesday to protest alleged mismanagement in the District Selection Committee (DSC) examinations. Led by district president K.K. Raju, demonstrators wore black apparel to signal their dissatisfaction with the recruitment proceedings. The protest centered on claims that the state government failed to maintain transparency and fairness throughout the competitive testing process.

Accountability and National Comparisons

During the demonstration, K.K. Raju drew parallels between the DSC controversy and the recent national scrutiny surrounding the NEET examinations. Raju argued that just as federal leadership faced accountability for testing leaks, HRD Minister Nara Lokesh must take responsibility for local administrative failures. The YSRCP leadership insists that the resignation of the Minister is the only acceptable resolution for the perceived lapses in the teacher recruitment drive.

Stalled Promises and Youth Dissatisfaction

YSRCP MLC Varudu Kalyani joined the critique, shifting focus toward broader educational and employment grievances. Kalyani asserted that the NDA government has failed to deliver on several specific campaign pledges, including:

• The immediate reimbursement of outstanding student fee dues.
• The implementation of the promised ‘Nirudhyoga Bruthi’ unemployment allowance.
• Expanding job opportunities for the state’s youth as outlined in pre-election manifestos.

The party maintains that job aspirants and unemployed graduates have felt alienated by the government since it took office. YSRCP officials stated their intention to escalate these agitations across the state until their demands for ministerial accountability are met.
