Mahananda, a resident of the Sundergarh district in Odisha, reportedly works as a painter in Rourkela. Investigation reveals he sought to exploit price disparities between regional markets. He allegedly traveled to the Rayagada forest area to procure the drugs from an unidentified supplier at a rate of Rs 5,000 per kilogram, intending to offload the supply for significantly higher returns in the Hyderabad market.
