"No Permission": Prohibitory Orders Imposed Ahead Of Planned Parliament March

Law enforcement authorities in the national capital have imposed strict prohibitory orders under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), formerly known as Section 144 of the CrPC. The measures come after several groups were denied formal permission to conduct a scheduled march toward the Parliament House.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) confirmed the implementation of these restrictions via a public notification, citing the need to maintain public order and safety. The orders effectively ban the assembly of five or more persons and the carrying of any potential weapons or disruptive materials within the New Delhi district.
Heavy police deployment has been reported at key entry points and junctions leading to the central government area.
