Emergency Traffic Measures Around Necklace Road

The Hyderabad Traffic Police have initiated a series of diversions across the Khairatabad district and neighboring zones this Saturday, July 25. These adjustments facilitate a scheduled candlelight rally led by Mallikarjun Kharge, Rajya Sabha MP and AICC President. The march begins at 6 p.m., moving from People’s Plaza to the Indira Gandhi statue situated at the Necklace Rotary. High-profile attendees, including Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, are confirmed for the event.

Affected Routes and Diversion Points

Law enforcement will activate re-routing protocols between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. based on real-time congestion levels. Transit towards PVNR Marg (Necklace Road) from the Secretariat, Minister Road, Raj Bhavan, Buddha Bhavan, and Panjagutta faces redirection at the following junctions:

  • VV Statue and Khairatabad Metro Station (Rajiv Gandhi Statue)
  • Nallagutta Crossroads
  • The Secretariat North-East Gate
  • Government Printing Press Junction

Congestion Warnings and Commuter Guidance

Significant delays are anticipated at the Lakdikapul Old Police Station Junction, Iqbal Minar Junction, VV Statue, the Secretariat Junction, and the Ranigunj sector. Authorities suggest that motorists bypass these corridors during the four-hour window to avoid gridlock. For real-time navigation support or medical emergencies, the traffic department has provided a helpline at 9010203626 and updates through their official social media channels.
