Wakanda Passes the Mantle
Marvel Studios finalized the future of its Wakandan franchise during the 2026 San Diego Comic-Con, confirming that David Jonsson will take on the role of Prince T’Challa in Black Panther 3. Director Ryan Coogler introduced Jonsson on stage, clarifying that the actor portrays the son of the late King T’Challa, a character previously introduced in the final moments of 2022's Wakanda Forever. The upcoming sequel, scheduled for a December 2028 release, focuses on the next generation of leadership while maintaining the narrative arc established by Letitia Wright’s Shuri.
The Spirit of Vengeance Joins the MCU
In a move to expand its supernatural roster, Marvel President Kevin Feige confirmed Ryan Gosling will portray Johnny Blaze in a standalone Ghost Rider film. Directed by Shawn Levy, the project marks the first time the character will appear within the main Marvel Cinematic Universe timeline.
