The incident came to light after the family's door remained closed until late in the afternoon. Concerned neighbours, suspecting foul play due to the lack of activity, eventually alerted others to investigate the situation.
Police arrived at the scene to find the deceased woman and child, while the man was discovered in a critical condition. He was subsequently transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment while a formal investigation into the motive was launched.
